Where Adventure Begins

Outdoorplay (previously the Kayak Shed) was founded by John ‘Tree’ Trujillo in 1995. The business started as a one-person kayak school based out of his garage and was focused on delivering world-class customer experience, instruction, and expertise. Outdoorplay quickly grew a loyal customer base in the Pacific Northwest and developed into a thriving outdoor online retail operation located in Hood River, Oregon.

Today’s Outdoorplay offers an online home experience for paddle sports, kayaking, camping, hiking, rock climbing, snow gear, footwear, accessories, and much more. Outdoorplay is poised to inspire and increase each customer’s outdoor quality of life because we believe everyone deserves to maximize their outdoor adventures and experiences.
