Solstice offers fresh, local, seasonal and organic food skillfully prepared by hand at family affordable prices. In fact, much of the food they serve has only been touched by three hands: the farmers, the cook and YOURS!

Featuring an imported Italian wood fire oven, the café specializes in rustic and inventive Tuscan style pizzas, seasonal chef’s entrees, hearty soups, grilled burgers, Columbia River salmon tacos, crispy wood-fired chicken and Solstice's famous Moroccan Beef Stew. The café also serves culinary-inspired cocktails, 11 rotating local micro brews, ciders and house wine on tap.

Mike's Ice Cream has been a Hood River landmark for nearly 30 years. In front of the small shop, there are tables & chairs, benches, and grass to sit on while you eat your treats. Watch the busy Hood River tourist scene go by as you enjoy your cone. Open seasonally from May until about October.

Chef Jack Kennedy takes pride in serving only the freshest and best tasting food to you. Burgers made with local Mt Shadow beef on buns Mary Beth Kennedy makes every morning, flatbreads using our own produce sit atop Uncle Lou’s homemade crusts, and seasonal specials.

The mission at River Daze Cafe is to serve customers fresh, natural foods with an artisan’s touch while upholding their belief in local, organic and non-genetically engineered foods.

Created by a pastry chef and a farmer, River Daze Cafe is committed to producing quality, hand-crafted food using natural and organic ingredients. Most of their items are prepared in-house from scratch including all breads, pastries, soups, dressings and more. There are no hydrogenated oils or additives in anything they make, and nothing comes from a mix.

During the growing season, many of fruits, berries and vegetables come from local farms, including River Daze Cafe's own. When they cannot source locally, they strive to buy organic, and they are committed to omitting all genetically-modified ingredients: They use only safflower and olive oils, cane sugar (or local honey) and organic cornmeal. Their deli meats are all high quality and produced without the use of antibiotics, hormones and unnecessary additives. The cafe's drink selection has also been carefully chosen to support small, local companies that omit high-fructose corn syrup.

Located in beautiful Parkdale in the upper Hood River Valley, Apple Valley BBQ uses fresh produce from local orchards for many of our dishes, including our signature pear coleslaw. We offer great BBQ smoked with local cherry wood, 100% certified angus beef, homemade pies, and friendly service.

Their wines and beers are all local too. They support Double Mountain Brewery, Logsdon Farmhouse Ales, Full Sail Brewing, Everybodys Brew Pub in White Salmon, and Solera Brewery (located across the street from in downtown Parkdale).

Ground Coffee offers coffee and espresso drinks, their famous Gorge breakfast sandwich, coffee and fruit smoothies, panini sandwiches, fresh salads, fresh-baked pastries, and local beer and wine. They make their own soups, bake all pastries fresh daily, and use local suppliers and produce as much as possible.

Broder Øst is the sister restaurant to Portland's Broder Nord and Broder Soder, set in the Historic Hood River Hotel. Savor Scandinavian breakfast and drinks with Hood River views. The Nordic brunch fare can't be matched, at least this side of Mt. Hood.

Known as the "Friendliest Restaurant in Town," Bette's Place has been a Hood River landmark since 1975. Our menu ranges from breakfast to specialty burgers and homemade soups, or try our legendary cinnamon rolls and prize-winning pies made by Bette herself.

With a seating capacity of 130, we have areas for families and special menus for children. We can accommodate large groups and tour busses with advance reservations, and also offer a private dining/meeting room that seats 35. We also have a take-out menu and will deliver to downtown and for school staff breakfasts or lunches.
