VISIT HOOD RIVER ANNOUNCES HOOD RIVER HOLIDAYS EVENTS

(HOOD RIVER, Ore.) — In partnership with Pacific Power, Visit Hood River and the Hood River County Chamber of Commerce announce the 2023 Hood River Holidays Festival, themed “Winter Wonderland.” From Nov. 25 through Dec. 24, the community, shoppers, merchants, and everyone with that Holiday Spirit gathers around the Holiday Tree in downtown Hood River and come together to celebrate the Season in an old-fashioned and fun setting.

Starting with Small Business Saturday on Nov. 25, Visit Hood River invites all county businesses to participate in a day focused on community support for small businesses, which is essential to Hood River’s identity.

“The dedication to nurturing local businesses and embracing ‘shop small’ not only uplifts the spirit but is the cornerstone of our community,” said Katie Kadlub, CEO of Visit Hood River and the Hood River Chamber of Commerce. “Hood River’s distinctive charm is largely due to the tireless efforts of our local merchants, makers, and ambassadors. Nearly two-thirds of each dollar spent in small businesses circulates back into the local economy.”

On Friday, Dec. 1, please join the community of Hood River to experience the small-town Winter Wonderland charm at the Hood River Holiday Festival and tree lighting. Kick off your Holiday shopping early, beginning at 5:00 p.m., browse the vendors at the festive Holiday displays parked along Oak St, and enjoy the window displays while voting for your favorites. Santa will be on hand for everyone to meet. The evening culminates with the town tree lighting at 7:00 p.m., with caroling and merriment for all.

The December holiday festivities continue with local shopping, free parking downtown from Dec. 11-24, and window display voting until Christmas Eve. The winner of the window display contest will be awarded a one-year Silver Level Chamber membership.

The Hood River Holidays “Winter Wonderland” Festival and tree lighting would not be possible without the generous support of the event sponsors, including Pacific Power, KeyBank, Providence Hood River Memorial Hospital, NW Natural Gas, and Settje Sons Paving. The Hood River Chamber of Commerce would also like to give special thanks to Lee Caryl for donating the holiday tree and to Tony Dehart and AJAX Construction for their invaluable assistance, all of whom played a role in cultivating the town’s community spirit for the holiday festivities.
