Guide requests in the United States and Canada that include a specification for additional information are made available to approved Visit Hood River partners as a way to fulfill the request. This information is stored in a secure database that is accessible only by the approved Visit Hood River partners. Requesting the additional information is not required when requesting printed travel materials from Visit Hood River.

Visit Hood River may use the information you voluntarily offer to inform you about information, products or services that may be of interest to you, improve content on our web site or electronic newsletter, or to assist with marketing research. We may disclose your personal information as required by law, in conjunction with a public records request, government inquiry, or in litigation or dispute resolution.

As an example, when you request a printed travel guide from us, we will keep the information related to your order so we can fulfill the specific request you have made. After that, we will keep the information for a period which allows us to handle or respond to any questions or concerns related to the order. The information may also be retained so we can continue to improve your experience with us.

We continuously review the information we hold and delete it securely, or in some cases, anonymize it, when there is no longer a legal, business or customer need for it to be retained. If you stop interacting with us, we will remove or anonymize your information after 7 years.

 

Access and Portability of Data:
