The Hearts of Gold Gala is slated for Sept. 10 at the Best Western Plus Hood River Inn Gorge Room. Guests will enjoy a cocktail reception with appetizers followed by a delicious gourmet dinner and entertaining program.

At the Hearts of Gold Celebration, we honor two exceptional individuals, a community member and health care professional, who through their advocacy work, have made a commitment to excellence in building a healthier community in the Columbia River Gorge. Our 2022 honorees are Rena George, community health worker and Charles “Chuck” Bugge, former school superintendent and volunteer extraordinaire. The beneficiary of the event will be the new Better Outcomes through Bridges (BOB) program which uses peer support and outreach to help community members in need.
