Bird Watch and Walkabout at the Museum

Two Fridays this summer, The History Museum of Hood River County invites you to join Morgan Olson, Raptor Educator from the Columbia Gorge Discovery Center & Museum, for a one-hour walkabout along the Hood River to view birds and learn about local ecology. Binoculars provided.   Osprey, violet green swallows, and American dipper are just a few of the birds along the way. Learn about the unique history, ecology and geology of the confluence of the Hood and Columbia Rivers.  Guests should be able to walk 1/2 mile on flat ground.  Comfortable walking shoes, sunscreen and a bottle of water recommended.  

Friday, July 12 and Friday, August 9, meet at 9am at The History Museum, 300 E. Port Marina Drive, Hood River (yellow building past DMV).

Bird walk tickets are $5 each and can be purchased ahead at the museum or at www.hoodriverhistorymuseum.org

Admission to the museum is included with your bird walk ticket.  Walks are limited to 15 guests for each event.  Please, no strollers or guests under age 8.
