These events are open to households and small businesses of Hood River, Wasco, and Sherman counties only.
Accepted items:
• Any product with “warning”, “danger”, “caution”, “poison” on label
• Septic field/drain cleaners, oven cleaners
• Paints and stains of all types
• Yard, garden, pool, and spa chemicals
• Cleaners, disinfectants, solvents, glues
• Automotive fluids (gasoline, antifreeze, brake fluids, motor oil, etc.) and kerosene
• Art and hobby chemicals
• Fluorescent lamps, CFL bulbs and ballasts, thermostats
• Propane bottles and tanks
• Fire extinguishers and batteries (all types)
• Hair dye
• Cellphones
• Unwanted/expired prescriptions, over-the-counter medicines, vitamins, nutritional
supplements, and pet medicine
Not Accepted:
• Explosives
• Ammunition
• Sharps
• Asbestos
• Refrigerators, AC units, freezers
