The Lightwell Hotel, in partnership with The History Museum, is pleased to announce a new community speaker series, “Local Legends: Hood River History Talks.” Hosted on the first Monday of the month from October through December 2026, and continuing January through April 2027, the series brings regional history to life through engaging presentations by local experts.
All presentations will take place at The Lightwell Hotel in the Columbia Room, located directly adjacent to the lobby.

Time: 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM (includes a 20-minute Q&A session)
Location: The Columbia Room at The Lightwell Hotel
Tickets: $12 General Admission | $10 History Museum Members
Special Offer: Attendees can enjoy an extended Happy Hour at the hotel from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM prior to each event.

– December 7: Prof. Scott Burns — “Rock and Roll: The Dynamic Geology of the Gorge”
