In honor of the Oregon Outback being named the World’s Largest International Dark Sky Sanctuary and the new moon on July 5, Mt. Hood Meadows is offering overnight RV camping and will be turning off their lights so you can get an amazing view of the stars. While they know the dark sky sanctuary is in Southern Oregon, they promise the view of the stars on Mt. Hood is out of this world.
In addition, most camping on Mt. Hood is booked for the weekend and they have plenty of RV spots available so make your plans now and join Mt. Hood Meadows for a dark sky experience on Mt. Hood.
Meadows is also a great place for a daytime adventure. They’ll have our hiking trails open and the Stadium chair will be running for scenic chair lift rides. They will also have live music on the deck Friday, Saturday and Sunday, and the Paradise Grill will be serving delicious food and refreshing drinks.
