DESCRIPTION:Shine Brighter Together \nHood River Holidays \nbrought to you by \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n  \nJoin us in as we celebrate the holiday season and shine brighter together! \n\n  \nSaturday\, November 15- December 24 \nShop Local \nFrom the waterfront to the mountain\, shopping local offers a variety of wonderful items and the opportunity to support our small business community. \n\n\n\nFriday\, December 5 \nAnnual Community Holiday Tree Lighting and Street Festival \nHead downtown Hood River for an evening of lights\, music\, food\, shopping\, and more! Walk through the streets and visit our local shops during the festival to get some of our holiday shopping done. Our tree lighting will be held on State St. and 2nd St.  The tree will be lit between 5:45-6:00 pm. The festival will be held 5:00-7:00 pm on Oak St. There are a variety of stores throughout downtown and something for everyone. If you are interested in being part of the festival\, please fill out this registration form. \nSanta let us know he will be coming to our tree lighting. Mrs. Claus will be joining him with some candy and cheer. There will be an opportunity to take photos with Santa. He will be up by the community tree from 5:00- 6:30 pm. \nThe streets will be closed 4:00-7:30 pm to vehicles on Oak St.\, 1st to 6th; 2nd St.\, State St. to Cascade Ave.; State St.\, 1st to 4th St. \n  \nMore Ways to be involved! \nHoliday Window Decorating Contest– Local businesses catch the holiday spirit and decorate their storefronts for all to enjoy. As a reminder\, the theme is Shine Brighter Together. Display must be completed by Thursday\, November 27. Judging will take place on Monday\, December 1. The winner will be announced at the Community Tree Lighting. If you are a business interested\, please complete the contest form. \nShare the Light Trees– Downtown Hood River is lined with lit holiday lights to “Shine Brighter Together” this season.
